# Finding Peace in the Lost: A Journey of Surrender

Embracing the Shepherd's Guidance

The Verses:

"What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?"Matthew 18:12
"Then he said to the man, 'Stretch out your hand.' So he stretched it out and it was completely restored..."Matthew 12:13

The Question:

Are there any areas of your life that you feel lost? Let Jesus take care of those things.

My Heart's Response:

When I reflect on where I feel "lost," my thoughts often drift toward the heavy burdens of my career and finances. In the past, money has been a source of division and hurt in my most cherished relationships. Those financial worries sometimes feel like that one wandering sheep—straying away from peace and threatening to bring stress back into my beautiful, close connections.

But reading about the Shepherd reminds me that I don't have to chase down every wandering, lost piece of my life with forceful, masculine energy. I can soften. I can let Jesus come and find those burdens and take care of them for me.

Jesus also told the man in the synagogue to "stretch out" his withered hand. To be healed, the man had to reveal the part of himself that felt broken or stuck. For me, stretching out my hand to Jesus means offering up all the plans that didn't work out. It means surrendering the doors that closed and finding peace with the babies I haven't been able to carry.

When I finally stretched those tender, "lost" areas out to Him, I never stopped praising Him—and His restoration was breathtaking. He didn't just give me what I originally asked for; He built a stronger, deeply resilient version of myself that I have truly grown to love. My relationship with Him goes so far beyond my earthly parents or the children I couldn't have. He has breathed an entirely different, wonderfully adventurous life of service into me.

I am letting Jesus take care of the finances, the career, and the unknowns. I am just going to rest in His care, savoring every minute and every second of this beautiful adventure He has given me.

✨ A Soft Prayer of Surrender

Jesus, thank You for being the kind of Shepherd who looks for the parts of my life that feel lost, stressed, or wandering. Today, I stretch out my hands to You. I give You my career, my finances, and my deep desire to keep my relationships full of love and free of division. Thank You for taking the closed doors of my past and using them to shape me into a woman I love being. I trust You to take care of the heavy things so I can continue to joyfully walk in this adventurous life You’ve blessed me with. Amen.

The Power of Surrendering Control

Surrendering control can be daunting. We often cling tightly to our worries, believing that holding on will somehow protect us. But what if, instead of clinging, we chose to release? What if we allowed ourselves to be vulnerable, to trust that there is a greater plan at work?

In my journey, I have discovered that surrendering control opens the door to peace. It allows me to step back and observe my life from a different perspective. I can see the beauty in the chaos and the lessons in the struggles. Each challenge becomes an opportunity for growth, a chance to deepen my faith.

When I let go, I create space for new possibilities. I invite joy and inspiration into my life. It’s as if I’m saying to the universe, “I trust you. I trust that everything will unfold as it should.” This shift in mindset has transformed my experience, allowing me to embrace the unknown with open arms.

Finding Community in Our Journeys

As I navigate this path of surrender, I am reminded of the importance of community. We are not meant to walk this journey alone. Sharing our experiences with others creates a tapestry of support, understanding, and love.

When we gather with like-minded souls, we find solace in our shared struggles. We can uplift one another, offering encouragement and wisdom. Together, we can explore the depths of our spiritual journeys, discovering new insights and perspectives.

I encourage you to seek out those who resonate with your heart. Engage in conversations that inspire you. Share your stories, your fears, and your triumphs. You may find that your journey becomes lighter, more joyful, and filled with purpose when you walk alongside others.

Embracing Daily Devotionals

Incorporating daily devotionals into my routine has been a game-changer. These moments of reflection and connection with the divine ground me. They remind me of my purpose and help me stay focused on what truly matters.

I often start my day with a simple prayer, inviting peace and clarity into my heart. I read passages that resonate with my soul, allowing their wisdom to wash over me. This practice not only nurtures my spirit but also equips me to face the challenges of the day ahead.

Consider setting aside time each day for your own devotional practice. Whether through reading, journaling, or meditation, find what speaks to you. Allow these moments to be sacred, a time to connect with your inner self and the divine.

The Journey of Self-Discovery

Self-discovery is an ongoing journey. It requires patience, compassion, and a willingness to explore the depths of our being. As we peel back the layers of our lives, we uncover hidden truths and desires.

I have learned that self-discovery is not always comfortable. It can bring up feelings of sadness, fear, or uncertainty. But it is also a beautiful process of unveiling our authentic selves. Each revelation brings us closer to understanding our purpose and our place in the world.

Embrace the journey. Allow yourself to feel the emotions that arise. They are valid and necessary for your growth. Remember, you are not alone in this exploration. We are all on our unique paths, seeking to uncover the essence of who we are.

Conclusion: Trusting the Process

As I reflect on my journey, I am filled with gratitude. I have learned to trust the process, to surrender my worries, and to embrace the unknown. Each step has brought me closer to inner peace and self-discovery.

I invite you to join me on this journey. Let us walk together, supporting one another as we navigate the complexities of life. Together, we can cultivate a global community of spiritual seekers, guiding each other toward a more connected world.

Let Jesus take care of your burdens. Trust in His guidance and embrace the adventure that awaits you. Remember, you are loved, you are supported, and you are never truly lost.
